Late Bloomer

Welcome to the Jeremy Stewart Blog Empire. My name is Jeremy Stewart. I'm a proverbial Late Bloomer.

I'm behind on growth. I weighed almost ten pounds when I was born, but only thirty-two when I was five. I didn't break five feet tall until my freshman year in high school. People called me ma'am on the phone until…well maybe that will stop some day.

I'm behind on fashion. I fight all current trends. Finally I give in and jump on board, sometimes just as it's going out of style, but usually once it's gone. I never really had blue jeans until junior high. All through sixth grade I somehow survived with three identical sweat suits, one turquoise, one purple, and one fuchsia. Interestingly, that was the most popular time of my life. I have a tattoo on my ankle. I got it there so it would be covered up by my socks. That was several years after the no-show sock trend started, and just before I caught up.

I'm behind techno-socially. I'm not on facebook, myspace, youtube, twitter, virb, or ilike. I'm actually so far removed from that culture that I had to look up a happenin' friend's website just to get all of those names.

Obviously that means I haven't entered the blog arena either. If you love blogging I apologize. My appearance probably means the imminent death of this trend.

I might be a Late Bloomer, but I enter with a splash. While most folks start with one blog that they never write on, the Jeremy Stewart Blog Empire is starting with three. That's three times the amount of blogs with nothing on them. Boo-yah.

Why three? Well, my brain is so full of syrupy goodness that I didn't think one could hold it all. Okay, not really. I have two topics that I want to share about with their own special homes. Throw in one general blog for the weird things that run through my syrupy goodness brain, and three it is.

What can you expect here at the Jeremy Stewart Blog Empire?

  • Big Thoughts - I've got a weird brain, and I plan on letting it run free. My wife Megan and I used to head up the Newlywed/Young Married class at our church. In an effort to help the couples understand some of the differences between men's and women's minds, a mentor couple shared about how we think. They compared men with Waffles. All parts of our men's lives and thought processes are clean and separate. One part doesn't affect another. Women on the other hand were compared to Spaghetti. Everything is connected. Conversations start in one place and end somewhere sixty-two connections away. Well my life might be Belgian but my brain is Italian. Sometimes I might just pick a topic that's been on my mind and let it run free. There's no telling where we'll end up.
  • Underly Shady – I promise not to be overly shady, but there's going to be some shade.
  • Bad Grammar – This won't be intentional, but it will be present. I write how I talk, so don't expect anything impressive in a face to face conversation either. I've got a semi-photographic memory, but little comprehension. So, even if I know the grammar rules, I can't apply them. Expect too many commas and very few comas. Prepositions are what I'll end sentences in. Tenses will change throughout paragraphs. Basically, if Word doesn't fix it, expect it to be wrong. Similarly, if Word incorrectly suggests changing something that is correct, I'll probably do it. If you're a Grammar junkie, I apologize. Consider yourself warned.

Here's a breakdown of the sites of the Jeremy Stewart Blog Empire.

  • jeremy.aggiestewarts.com - This is the main blog. You'll find all of the random thoughts here.
  • music.aggiestewarts.com - I'm a big fan of music. I'll use this site to talk about music that I like. I don't plan on talking about music that I dislike as I hope to keep it positive, but I make no guarantees.
  • links.aggiestewarts.com – I'm also a big fan of online shopping. Through my many years of professional online shopping, I've come across some pretty awesome websites. I'll share those sites and other secrets that I've discovered but everyone else has known for years (Common Knowledge Late Bloomer) on this site. I don't make money off of this site (because I'm a bad businessman), so don't feel scammed.

So, once again, welcome to the Jeremy Stewart Blog Empire. Just remember jeremy.aggiestewarts.com. I have links to the other sites at the top of all three blogs. Get to one and you're on your way!
